Lyrics
Let’s talk it out
Say it how you mean it
You don’t know how
To settle all your feelings
Cause right about now
I don’t feel like I’m needed
I don’t feel like I’m lost
I don’t feel like I’m wrong
Send me too where
I haven’t gone before
A place where I belong
We can laugh it out
Dose off and sleep in
Tell me some way or some how
We can start to believe in
What needs to come around
Brush off all the secrets
I don’t feel like I’m lost anymore
I don’t feel like I’m wrong
Send me too where
I haven’t gone before
A place where I belong
Story Behind The Song
“Secrets” came from a period of questioning where I felt caught between holding things in and learning how to be honest with myself. The song isn’t about a single secret as much as it is about the weight of the things we carry internally—uncertainty, self-doubt, and the feeling of not quite knowing where you belong.
While writing it, I kept returning to the idea that some of our struggles don’t need to be solved all at once. Sometimes they just need to be spoken aloud. The lyrics move between frustration and acceptance, searching for a place where it’s possible to let go of old assumptions and begin trusting yourself again.
The refrain, “I don’t feel like I’m lost anymore,” became the anchor of the song. It felt less like finding answers and more like finding peace with not having all the answers. By the end, the song settles into a quieter feeling of belonging—of brushing off the secrets we carry and moving forward a little lighter than before.
